This Pentair Challenger High Pressure 2.5 HP Standard Efficiency Pump is 208-230 Volts, up-rated, molded thermoplastic with a closed impeller and is designed for applications requiring high pressure to move water faster and serve multiple features. The Challenger High Pressure pumps are designed to feed multiple needs beyond pool water circulation, such as spa jets, in-floor cleaning systems and decorative water features like waterfalls and fountains. They provide all that power while remaining highly efficient and delivering years of unattended performance.These pumps also feature the see-through lid and large strainer basket. The internal components and 2 inch ports of the Challenger are designed to provide rapid priming and quiet operation. No tools are required for removing thumb screw drain plugs for draining and winterizing. Power end can be removed easily for service or winterizing without disturbing piping or pump support base.
